GAMING ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
The new Gaming Administration Building will house two distinct groups, Lucky Star Operations and the Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming Commission. Currently utilizing temporary facilities, the new home for these two operational departments will be constructed on the north side of the Lucky Star Casino in Concho.
Once complete, the building will approximately be 18,500 SF, with 13,700 SF for Lucky Star Operations and 4,800 SF for the Gaming Commission. The building’s exterior design is influenced by that of the new Lucky Star Casino and harmonizes not only with the casino, but also the neighboring tribal administrative buildings and convenience store. The exterior finish incorporates a color palette of earth tones and geometric patterns which subtly reflect the ancestral Cheyenne and Arapaho culture.
Because the two user groups are required to be physically separate and independent from each other, a dedicated entrance will be provided for both groups. Upon entering the Lucky Star Operations entry, employees and visitors will be welcomed by a reception area in a contemporary color scheme of grays and warm wood tones with accents of red and teal and patterned carpet tiles for interest and durability. The fresh and trend-forward approach to color and texture throughout the building compliments the geometric patterns found in the exterior architecture. The design also incorporates natural elements to provide a comfortable and productive work environment. A large conference room located adjacent to reception area will be available to the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, extending the functionality of the space beyond the needs of the buildings’ occupants. A retractable partition wall, which can folds into concealed wall pockets, adds to the space’s flexibility.
In addition, a new parking lot with approximately 100 paved parking spots will be provided for staff and visitors and a 5,000 SF warehouse building will be constructed later.
